Dear Social Insurance Participants:

The “Regulations on Social Insurance Administration” (State Council Decree No. 765 of the People’s Republic of China) stipulate that “when an individual applies to handle social insurance registration, the citizen identity card number shall be used as the social security number; upon obtaining the social security card, the social security card serves as the credential for the individual to participate in the basic pension insurance and to receive various social insurance benefits.”
