The Central Economic Work Conference was held in Beijing on December 10–11. A relevant person in charge with the Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs said that the country is expected to achieve economic growth of around 5% for the full year, and continue to rank among the world’s major economies. The total economic output is expected to reach about 140 trillion yuan. Employment will remain generally stable, foreign trade will grow relatively fast, and the effectiveness of export diversification will be evident. Looking ahead to 2026, active factor mobility and innovation will continue to inject new momentum into development. The flow of people, logistics, information, and funds will maintain a relatively fast growth trend. The growth rates of investment and consumption are expected to recover. The pace of industrial transformation and upgrading will accelerate. Technological and industrial innovation will enter a stage where results are concentrated and erupt. China’s economic development prospects are very bright.
