New Development | Yu Yi · Tianhai Three-Bedroom Unit Sold for 47.77 Million, Breaking Two Records
Wheelock Properties and MTR (00066) have collaborated to develop the property development project for Whampoa Station (Hoi Man Tin Station) — Phase IA of “Yo 1 · Tianhai.” It was sold by tender in two units, generating about HK$63.6 million in cash over a single day; among them is a top-floor duplex with distinctive features: a 3-bedroom residence. Both the tender winning price and the selling price per square foot set new highs for the project’s phase.
The two tender-winning units that broke new records are Unit A on the 29th floor of Tower 2B, which is a 3-bedroom 1-suite layout with a partitioned storeroom interval, with a practical area of 1,145 sq ft, plus a 862 sq ft rooftop. It has an internal staircase. The selling price was HK$47.77 million, with a practical price per sq ft of about HK$41,721.
The other selling unit is Unit B on the 2nd floor of Tower 1A, which is a 2-bedroom layout with a partitioned storeroom interval. The practical area is 591 sq ft. The selling price was HK$15.8299 million, with a practical price per sq ft of about HK$26,785. Units in the front row facing Victoria Harbour have already accumulated sales of 86 units, involving over HK$2.08 billion, with an average selling price per sq ft of about HK$32,800.
Helene Fung, executive director of sales and marketing at Wheelock Properties, said the project launched a new sales arrangement last week, including two rooftop units and two featured platform units. During the Easter period, it attracted and recorded more than 500 groups of customers for visits, and within less than a week it was immediately secured with buyer bids and purchases. At present, only the final unit of this type of unit with roof-colored options remains in “Yo 1 · Tianhai,” namely Unit D on the 29th floor of Tower 2B.
“Yo 1” series has cumulatively sold 715 units, with total sales exceeding HK$12.1 billion.
