❗️Did The New York Times "find" Satoshi Nakamoto?

After 18 months of investigation, NYT announced that the most likely creator of Bitcoin is the legendary cypherpunk and CEO of Blockstream, Adam Back.

➤ Adam Back is the creator of Hashcash, the proof-of-work prototype on which BTC is built.
➤ As early as the late 90s, he described almost all the key principles of Bitcoin long before its launch.
➤ He is one of the key figures in the cypherpunk movement.
➤ Satoshi Nakamoto first contacted him directly before publishing the Bitcoin Whitepaper.
➤ Text analysis showed a strong stylistic match — Adam Back used the same rare expressions, linguistic structures, and even similar mistakes as Satoshi Nakamoto.
➤ He disappeared from public discussions of digital money during Satoshi Nakamoto’s active period and only reappeared after his disappearance.

But there’s a catch:
➤ There is no direct proof — only indirect coincidences.
➤ The crypto community is already criticizing the investigation for "stretching the truth."
