At 11:00 on March 20, the 2025 winter heating supply at the Jindu mining area officially came to a close. Jinmu Co., Ltd.’s mining branch heating unit, after 126 days of continuous hard work, successfully completed the assurance task for the first “coal-to-gas” heating season. With steady, green, and efficient heating services, they turned in a warm answer for the employees’ families in the mining area.

The 2025 heating season is the first hands-on heating season under the company’s comprehensive promotion of its coal-to-gas clean energy strategy. Faced with the dual tests of a brand-new heating model and winter supply assurance, all staff of the heating unit stood firm on the front line. Cumulatively, they produced 146k tons of steam, delivering a steady stream of warmth to the mining area’s 368.6k square meters of coverage, keeping the entire winter cozy, with peace of mind.

As the first heating cycle after the coal-to-gas conversion, challenges such as equipment commissioning, system adaptation, and construction coordination intertwined. The heating unit adhered to “advancing heating assurance and system improvement in parallel.” On one hand, they strictly enforced construction safety to achieve zero accidents for the entire cycle; on the other hand, they strictly implemented 24-hour on-duty and standby coverage, improved a full-chain supply assurance mechanism, responded quickly and handled all kinds of unexpected situations efficiently, and ensured heating was uninterrupted with no compromise on temperature. From boiler operation to pipeline network inspections, from parameter control to emergency response—every link was tightly matched and managed in a closed-loop system. With solid measures, they built a “safety line” for heating in the mining area.

This gas-conversion heating not only warmed homes, but also made development greener. With environmental quality improvements, the concentrations of particulate matter and sulfide emissions are close to zero, nitrogen oxide emissions have been reduced to below 30 mg/m³, and the initiative fully aligns with the company’s philosophy of green development. For energy savings and efficiency gains, relying on an intelligent temperature sensing and control system, the daily average natural gas consumption has gradually decreased from the initial 146k³ to 368.6k³. While ensuring heating quality, it also achieves a substantial reduction in energy consumption. The green, efficient advantages of coal-to-gas conversion have truly turned into tangible results for heating in the mining area, driving the Jindu mining area’s heating supply into a new stage of green, low-carbon, intelligent, and highly efficient development.
