Mars Finance News April 9—Meta Platforms Inc. released its latest artificial intelligence (AI) model on Wednesday—its first model since CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in order to keep up with competitors, reorganized the company’s AI division with investment running into tens of billions of dollars. The much-anticipated model is called Muse Spark, developed by Meta’s Superintelligence Labs (Meta Superintelligence Labs, or MSL), a new team led by Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang that brings together highly paid AI researchers. Muse Spark will power Meta AI’s chatbots, breaking with the company’s previous open-source strategy by adopting a closed-source model, meaning its design and code will not be made public.
