CoinWorld.net reported on April 8 that Ramp's latest AI index shows that in February, 47.6% of companies paid for AI usage, with Anthropic adoption rate rising to 24.4% and OpenAI at 34.4%. Anthropic's adoption rate for the month increased by 4.9 percentage points month-over-month, the largest single-month increase since the index was established, while OpenAI decreased by 1.5 percentage points, the largest single-month decline among major model companies. Ramp data also indicates that among companies making their first AI service purchase, approximately 70% chose Anthropic over OpenAI. The report suggests that, when performance and price are similar, companies are showing a clear preference for Anthropic based on brand and usage preferences.
