Sources: Italy's Ministry of Defense refuses U.S. military aircraft to use its air force bases

Insiders say that a few days ago, Italy’s defense minister, Crosetto, rejected a request from U.S. military aircraft to use the Sigonella Air Force Base in Sicily. The Italian Ministry of Defense explained that the U.S. side had not communicated in advance or obtained authorization, which therefore does not fall within the scope set out under the military treaty between the United States and China.
