Citigroup says artificial intelligence helps accelerate account opening processes and system upgrades

Citigroup’s Chief Technology Officer Tim Ryan said the firm is using artificial intelligence to speed up account opening and accelerate the timeline for retiring legacy systems, in order to improve operational efficiency. In an interview, Ryan said: “We still have legacy systems that need to be handled, but thanks to the technology investments made previously, things have improved significantly. AI can help with data migration for legacy systems, automated code writing, and enabling more extensive, faster testing work.” (Sina Finance)
