Recently, I came across a rather heartbreaking topic—about Woody Allen's wife, So-Yi, and her email exchanges with Epstein. On the surface, So-Yi was defending a congressman who had inappropriate conduct with a minor girl, and she harshly criticized the victim, saying things like "bullying the weak" and "being manipulative." That alone is enough to make people uncomfortable. But the real heartbreak lies in the fact that most people don’t see the underlying logic.

You know? The reason So-Yi is so close to Epstein is not just a coincidence. Epstein was actually a "benefactor" of their family. So-Yi’s daughter got into Bard College? That was arranged behind the scenes by Epstein. The whole process reads like a textbook drama of social connections.

I looked at their email exchanges. So-Yi first contacted Epstein, wanting her daughter to visit Bard College. Epstein, being an old friend of the college’s president, helped arrange it with a word. Two months later, when her daughter confirmed she wanted to attend, Epstein stepped in again to coordinate, instructing So-Yi to call the college president. The president forwarded the email to the admissions committee. And then? Just one day later, So-Yi eagerly sent Epstein a thank-you letter, with a tone of utter gratitude.

In the letter, So-Yi wrote: “I really can’t thank you enough for helping Bechet get into Bard College. I was in the kitchen having dinner with Manzi and couldn’t express my gratitude properly!” She also explained that she wanted her daughter to go through some struggles, not knowing she’d been accepted beforehand, so that she could truly feel the pressure when she arrived. The whole logic is: I owe you a favor, so I must be completely obedient to you, even to the point of defending your immoral acts.

This is what’s called “social connections.” America? Ha. American society’s social connections are no less than anywhere else—just dressed in different clothes. The Epstein case reveals that it’s not some American trait, but the twisted human nature under the game of power and money. Who still claims America has no social connections? That’s truly loving America but not understanding America. False love.
