Canada's lumber production in 2025 decreased by 5% year-on-year

Canada’s 2025 sawmill lumber output fell 5% year over year, with total production at 46.3M cubic meters. In the fourth quarter, the production drop widened to 12.8%, and pressure on the industry was notably significant by year-end. Output in Saskatchewan surged 118%, but major producing areas such as Nova Scotia and Quebec continued to decline. (Mysteel)
