On April 1 in the morning, Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Electric Group, held talks with Dr. Harald Schwager, Chairman of the Administrative Board of the visiting KSB Group of Germany. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics including continuing to strengthen the foundation of cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, expanding cooperation in emerging industries, and deepening localization strategies.

Zhu Zhaokai said that the cooperation between Shanghai Electric and KSB Group has spanned more than three decades. The two sides have achieved fruitful results in areas such as the introduction of nuclear pump technology, joint research and development, and market expansion, making important contributions to China’s nuclear energy infrastructure development. Today, as the global transition to green energy accelerates, new strategic opportunities have emerged for both sides. It is hoped that, on the basis of consolidating existing cooperation, the two sides will further expand the scale of cooperation into green and emerging fields, fully leverage their respective advantages in technology development and manufacturing capabilities, jointly develop core products better suited to the Chinese market, provide more competitive localized solutions, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Schwager said that China is a core market in KSB Group’s global strategy. In recent years, KSB Group’s cooperation with Chinese companies such as Shanghai Electric has yielded remarkable results. KSB Group will further strengthen its business in China and advance its localization process, fully leverage its leading strengths in fluid technology, and enhance coordination with Shanghai Electric in areas such as technology R&D and market expansion, to comprehensively improve its service capabilities for global markets. The company looks forward to deepening cooperation between the two sides not only while consolidating cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, but also in areas such as new energy equipment and green hydrogen energy. Through the deep integration of “German technology + Chinese manufacturing,” it will provide global customers with higher-quality products and services.

Xiao Weihua, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, as well as Ralf Kananfas, Executive Director and Chief Sales Officer of KSB Group, and leaders of relevant functional departments and subsidiary companies of both sides, attended.
