$PI Gate News reports that in 2026, Pi Network is testing its Launchpad feature, marking the first attempt at a "12-grid" token distribution system on the testnet. Users can subscribe to projects to receive tokens and send them to their wallets. Preliminary tests show the system is stable and reliable; for example, a single wallet has received approximately 93 IRRA test tokens, and all transactions can be verified on the blockchain, indicating the process is authentic and traceable. This test covers the complete subscription and distribution process. Users subscribe using test Pi tokens, the system calculates the allocation amount, and tokens are sent to the wallet, with the entire process functioning as expected. Additionally, staked Pi tokens have a lock-up period of about 30 days, adding a basic security mechanism to the token distribution. The validation of this full process demonstrates that Pi Network is building a practically operable launch platform, not just a conceptual design. Although the Launchpad is still running on the testnet and has not yet moved to the mainnet, this test has verified the system's logic and processing capacity. The system can handle user input, allocate tokens, and complete delivery, laying a foundation for future ecosystem development. This initiative by Pi Network will provide developers and project teams with tools to raise tokens and develop applications within the ecosystem, promoting the network's transition toward a complete blockchain ecosystem. This update is synchronized with the Pi Protocol 21.2 upgrade, which enhances network stability and supports future feature development. The upcoming PiRC1 token framework will go live, offering developers full smart contract support to further expand application scenarios and service development. Community reactions are mixed; some users are concerned about KYC and mainnet migration delays, while others question the reward process, but overall, there is continued anticipation for the project's progress. The successful operation of the Pi Launchpad testnet marks a significant step forward in Pi Network's ecosystem development, paving the way for future token distribution, application development, and smart contract deployment, and demonstrating its gradual shift from mining applications to a full blockchain ecosystem.
