Iran claims a U.S. military refueling plane was shot down; all crew members killed.

Local time on the 13th, a reporter with China Central Television learned that Iran’s Armed Forces’ Hatem al-Anbia Central Command issued a statement saying that a U.S. military refueling aircraft was shot down by a missile launched by a resistance organization in western Iraq, and that all crew members were killed.

On the 12th, the U.S. Central Command said that a U.S. KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq, and that the incident occurred during the period when the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes against Iran. The U.S. Central Command said that the incident was not caused by enemy fire or a friendly-force misfire. (CCTV News)
