Minister of Finance Lan Fuan stated at the press conference on the theme of the economy during the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress on March 6 that more funds will be allocated to key areas and critical links of high-quality development. This year, national science and technology expenditures are planned to be nearly 1.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.1%; combined spending on education, social security and employment, health and wellness, and housing security exceeds 12.4 trillion yuan.
