London stock market declines on the 7th
Xinhua News Agency London, April 7 (Reporter Zhang Yadong) The London stock market’s 《Financial Times》 100-stock average price index closed at 10,348.79 points on April 7, down 87.50 points from the previous trading day, a decline of 0.84%. All three major European stock indices fell across the board that day.
Among the component stocks of the London stock market that day, the top five gainers were: Imperial Brands, up 2.01%; Games Workshop Group, up 1.98%; Metron Energy and Metals Company, up 1.80%; Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, up 1.38%; and Berkeley Group Holdings, the residential developer, up 1.33%.
Among the component stocks of the London stock market that day, the top five decliners were: Melrose Industries, down 4.30%; Rolls-Royce Holdings, down 3.86%; Marks & Spencer, down 3.45%; Bournville Properties, down 3.27%; and 3i Group, the financial investment company, down 3.20%.
As for the other two major European stock indices, France’s Paris stock market CAC 40 index closed at 7,908.74 points, down 53.65 points from the previous trading day, a decline of 0.67%; Germany’s Frankfurt stock market DAX index closed at 22,921.59 points, down 246.49 points from the previous trading day, a decline of 1.06%.
