On March 25th, at the Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Center, technical managers wearing blue vests were active among exhibitors and visitors. This professional team, composed of key personnel from multiple parties, is helping to smoothly transform more technological achievements and build a more complete technological trading ecosystem. As the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference begins, new products and new technologies in the tech industry will be showcased over five days, creating an open, inclusive, and vibrant international technology trading platform, allowing cutting-edge technological achievements to shine in the global market.

“Matchmaker” Technical Managers

On March 25th, at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference, the “Blue Vest” Technical Manager BLUE 1000 plan was launched.

Beijing Business Daily reporters noticed during the exhibition that dozens of technical managers in “Blue Vests” were moving through the event site. They sometimes discussed project progress with exhibitors, and sometimes patiently introduced new products to visitors. At the opening ceremony, 30 technical managers in “Blue Vests” representatives took the stage holding puzzle pieces, jointly launching the “Blue Vest” Technical Manager BLUE 1000 plan. This plan aims to expand the “Blue Vest” team to 1,000 members over five years.

It is understood that the first batch of “Blue Vest” technical managers already includes 100 members, composed of 50 experts from the Zhongguancun Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Forum, “Zhuque Talent,” as well as key personnel from universities, research institutes, science parks, technology transfer agencies, investment institutions, and intellectual property organizations, covering Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. This will strengthen the professional talent pool for the construction of the Beijing (Tianjin-Hebei) International Science and Technology Innovation Center.

What can the “Blue Vest” technical managers do? “To put it simply, they are ‘matchmakers.’ Most ‘Blue Vests’ are not full-time. They come from different industries but have relevant professional backgrounds or rich practical experience in implementing technological achievements,” a staff member from Zhongguancun Science and Technology Service told Beijing Business Daily. Before the conference, they completed project screening and ‘pre-matching,’ thoroughly analyzing scenario needs, technological products, and typical cases to prepare for precise matching. During the event, they wear eye-catching blue vests, active in various activities and public spaces, acting as ‘scouts’ and ‘mobile service stations’ for project matching, responding to the needs of supply and demand at any time. Afterward, they will continue to track key projects, assist in solving implementation difficulties, and promote projects to land and show results in Beijing.

The “Blue Vest” team will participate throughout the process in project roadshows, matchmaking, and negotiations, providing professional services for technological innovation projects. Especially at the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Technology Achievement Matchmaking Conference, 30 technical managers from the three regions will focus on project roadshows, communicating with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, universities, research institutes, and related service providers, offering professional, full-chain services to facilitate project implementation.

The “Blue Vest” team will also regularly settle in at the Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Center, continuously providing professional support for technological achievement transformation through specialized services.

Multiple scenarios catalyze technology implementation

Compared to previous years, this year’s Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference has achieved a comprehensive upgrade, showcasing four major highlights: “precision, linkage, practicality, and trendiness.” The conference creates diverse scenarios for technology implementation, injecting new momentum into technological achievement transformation.

At the “Orange Fruit Shop” display platform at the exchange center, focusing on fields such as artificial intelligence, smart hardware, smart healthcare, and new materials, a batch of cutting-edge technological achievements that are “visible, audible, and perceptible” are presented, bringing future technology into reality. Local Beijing tech company Liangliang Vision showcased the Leion Hey2 consumer AR translation glasses, which integrate AR and large language model technology to enable cross-language communication and barrier-free exchange. According to Ma Qingyang, market manager of Liangliang Vision, the product supports real-time translation of over 100 languages including Mandarin, various Chinese dialects, English, French, German, and Korean, with a translation delay of less than 0.5 seconds and an accuracy rate of up to 98%.

The new tech products showcased alongside Liangliang Vision are not only trendy but also highly practical. Xiamen’s Tea Little Cow brought an AI tea brewing robot that standardizes, automates, and intelligently manages complex Gongfu tea processes through AI tea recognition, AI brewing, and AI tasting. Sichuan’s SAIKE Power displayed ultra-high energy density solid-state batteries (360Wh/kg), with a lightweight design that reduces overall load, effectively solving core issues of short endurance and small load capacity in low-altitude industries, with broad applications in inspection, firefighting, agriculture, and forestry protection. Beijing’s Zhongke Borui introduced a non-invasive multi-channel brain oxygen monitor that can promptly detect risks of brain ischemia and hypoxia, providing real-time patient monitoring.

To promote technological achievement transformation, the conference also set up a “Science and Technology Transformation Live Room,” inviting technical managers and tech streamers to become “Orange Fruit Recommenders,” sitting with product R&D teams in scenario-based exhibition areas, demonstrating, explaining, and answering questions to create a “trendy experience” of cutting-edge tech products. During the conference, four live broadcasts will be held, featuring companies like Xinzhida and Zhongke Borui.

The “Diagnosis Room” for technology transactions continues to support the conference, focusing on key fields such as biomedicine, medical devices, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, embodied intelligence, and new materials, providing “diagnosis and prescriptions” for innovative projects. It is understood that “consulting experts” are led by 50 experts from the Zhongguancun Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Forum and well-known specialists in their fields, forming a professional team with experienced practitioners in equity investment and intellectual property, as well as technical managers in “Blue Vests,” offering one-on-one and multi-party precise diagnosis, pathway planning, and resource matching services for projects with transformation needs. Project parties can engage in in-depth exchanges with the expert team to receive professional guidance on technology transfer, investment and financing, and intellectual property layout, reducing detours and accelerating results.

Such trendy yet practical scenarios officially launched at the Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Center on March 16th, continuously building a hub for matching technological elements and needs based in Beijing, radiating nationwide, and facing the world, supporting the creation of an innovative technology trading ecosystem.

“Buy Globally, Sell Globally”

The 2026 Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference continues to focus on the goal of “buying globally, selling globally,” using the “1+8+N” model to carry out demand and supply matching activities.

Zhou Yunfan, director of the Seventh Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, stated at the opening ceremony that the conference has become an important platform connecting global innovation resources and promoting efficient transformation of technological achievements. It aims to facilitate more frontier technologies crossing borders and accelerating transformation, contributing more to cultivating new productive forces and building an open, innovative ecosystem.

The conference focuses on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and intelligent manufacturing. Eighteen achievement transformation, investment, and ecological cooperation projects were signed on-site, involving universities, research institutes, financial institutions, and tech innovation companies. These collaborations will further accelerate the journey of results from lab to market, injecting financial “vitality” into achievement transformation, and promoting the deep integration of innovation resources, industry chains, and capital chains, opening a new chapter in technological trading cooperation.

The conference also enhances the interconnection of domestic and international innovation resources, deepening cross-border cooperation with special sessions for Switzerland, the UK, and other key countries; upgrading regional collaboration through the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei technology achievement matchmaking, collecting over 70 regional technological achievements, and creating a “patient capital + scenario-driven” collaborative model; linking the Yangtze River Delta and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to build a collaborative ecosystem for technological achievement transformation.

Additionally, the “District Chief Reception Room” covers 16 districts and economic development zones in Beijing, selecting over 120 key projects, establishing face-to-face negotiation bridges between government and enterprises. The exchange center has set up a “Reception Room” area for ongoing communication. The conference also features a “Trendy Tech” experience scene, with multiple interactive tech exhibits available on the “Orange Fruit Shop.”

During the five-day event, over 20 activities including the 50-Person Forum on Technology Achievement Transformation, the Global Technical Managers Network Annual Meeting, the SME-Enterprise Innovation Development Matchmaking, university and research institute technology transfer sessions, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei achievement matchmaking, key country-specific project sessions, major tech achievement showcases, and district chief reception will be held, creating a multi-layered, wide-reaching platform for technological trading cooperation.
