After years of trading, I’ve come to understand that true happiness is not the wild joy of an instant when your account hits a new high, but the calm and ease you have after weathering the storms. It’s the certainty and composure in your heart once you’ve built your own trading system. You know that as long as you keep doing the right things (following your system), the good outcomes (profits) will come naturally. You no longer obsess over the gains or losses of each individual trade; instead, you focus on whether the process is correct. When your attention shifts from “money” to “the work,” anxiety disappears, replaced by the pleasure of creation and inner peace.

Trading is like a journey with no predetermined destination. What matters isn’t where you ultimately end up, but what kind of scenery you see along the way—and what kind of person you become. The flowing candlestick charts eventually become an external reflection of your inner world. When your mind is tranquil, broad, and serene, what you see is no longer just the rise and fall of prices, but the rhythm and cadence of life. In that moment, you realize that what you trade is no longer money—it’s your life.
