$BTC Hovering around 64,000—teetering on the edge! On-chain data is ringing the alarm, and this rebound may be running up the tab for the future.
Brothers, BTC is still hovering around 64,000. It looks calm on the surface, but the on-chain data is already sounding the alarm. A CryptoQuant analyst warns—current exchange-platform leverage is severely overheated. The expansion of loan collateral margins is far beyond what spot liquidity can absorb, and leverage deployment has entered the top 5% of historical extreme levels. In plain terms: this rebound is powered by borrowing to pump—not by real money.
On the 1-hour chart, price dropped from 65,589 to 63,843. The MACD dead cross points downward, and short-term bears hold the upper hand. If it breaks below 63,800, the downside could see 63,000–62,500. As for volume, it’s been shrinking continuously, suggesting the funds chasing higher are decreasing, and spot buy pressure can’t keep up with the pace of leverage expansion.
On the news front, analysts put it bluntly: “The superficially rising price creates risk appetite, drawing retail investors into high-leverage long positions, but the underlying stablecoin reserves are drying up and manufacturing a huge trigger for hedging.” If leverage gets liquidated, price will be pulled down. The path with the least resistance is to violently liquidate these overextended positions.
Trading strategy:
Short—if it spikes again, enter shorts around 66,500–67,200; if it doesn’t spike, try shorting around 64,700–65,200. For longs, if it dips into the pin area around 63,000–62,000, watch for long entries.
Personal view:
Brothers, BTC rebounded from 62,000 to 65,500, but the on-chain data tells us—this rebound may be “burning through the very last drop of fuel.” Spot liquidity can’t support this high leverage; deleveraging is a mathematical inevitability, not a probability question. Cut down your exposure now, protect your principal, and wait for leverage to cool before looking for an entry. Don’t use leverage-stoked highs as fuel.
