I tried copy trading for the first time - Here is the honest review of the performance!

I am trying the Copy Trading Masters Phase 2 on Gate by creating my first live position. Rather than just hyping the position, here is the actual performance.
I am copying the trade of the trader called “Fangcun Judge”, who is longing ETHUSDT. Using cross margin with 200x leverage, I have entered at the average price of 1857.55 with a 0.345 ETH size, 3.68 margin. Right now, the position has +0.09 unrealized profit, which represents a +2.52% ROI from the entry point of the position. These are small numbers because I wanted to try on small quantities - I have used 50 USDT investment in total. I utilized a copy trial bonus of 50 USDT given by the platform with 3 days duration and set 7 USDT of total stop-loss cap, and I like this particular feature the most because no matter what the lead trader does, my potential loss will not exceed a certain amount during this trial and reduces anxiety when trying a new strategy on real money.
The real reason behind copy trading, to me, isn’t “making money automatically” by following someone. The logic behind is to expose yourself to a strategy and method you wouldn’t implement by yourself and have transparency on how it works in real-time. On this platform, you can observe the lead trader’s live position, how they enter their positions, what leverage they use, and much more. The Transparency here is very different to following a signal from a group. Here, you witness the execution live instead of seeing a screenshot taken from someone else's computer after the fact.
200x leverage on ETH is quite high, so this is certainly not a “safe” strategy. This is why it is extremely important to consider the stop-loss limit, especially when you are like me and are starting to explore this space by using trial funds.
