Trump's Twitter governance&encryption market's legal cornering
Once Trump's 'strategic reserve' list was released, BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, and ADA collectively surged. However, upon closer inspection, this is just Trump's 'political marketing'—using encryption currencies as bargaining chips to gain support from industry tycoons, while harvesting a wave of traffic.
Subsequently, there was news that someone had accurately ambushed 4 million with 50 times leverage the night before, which turned into 7 million, with a 175% return in 24 hours. This speed is faster than Trump's tweets.
The 'national strategy' sounds high-end, but the actual plan is nowhere to be seen. The core part of the strategic reserves (such as BTC, ETH) requires congressional authorization if the federal government needs to make large-scale purchases. Trump's current reserve plan is only promoted through executive orders, more for political posturing and short-term market stimulus. The actual implementation requires breaking through legislative deadlock or taking on high-risk administrative operations.
However, the reality is that the Republican Party only has a slight advantage in the House of Representatives, and it is almost impossible to push through a bill to include high-volatility altcoins such as SOL, XRP, and ADA into the national reserves. Even the Bitcoin (BTC) reserve bill faces significant obstacles at the federal level due to partisan games, volatility disputes, and other issues.
Currently, about 25 states in the United States have proposed Bitcoin reserve bills, but 4 Republican-led states (such as Ohio, Montana) have explicitly vetoed them, with reasons including the high volatility of Bitcoin (such as a 77% drop in 2021), which is not suitable for government investment. The setbacks in state-level bills may further weaken the confidence of federal legislators.
Currently, the market's response is already at a peak, and it has to be said that political slogans are the best tool for pulling up the market.
However, here is a reminder for friends, when the scythe of power harvests, even the roots of decentralized leeks will not be spared.
