Four men broke into a home to rob $1.6 million worth of Crypto Assets, torturing the victims for over 13 hours.

On November 25, according to the New York Post, a Hong Kong man was sentenced to 7 years in prison in Canada for his involvement in an extremely brutal home invasion robbery: four attackers disguised as postal workers broke into a family home in British Columbia, subjecting a family of three to 13.5 hours of beatings, water torture, and sexual assault threats, ultimately stealing $1.6 million worth of Bitcoin. The court described this as a “meticulously planned long-term violent crime.” The attackers had surveilled the victims for several weeks, monitoring them and setting up cameras outside their home to target their encryption assets. Before leaving, they also attempted to destroy evidence by soaking the household electronics in water mixed with bleach.
