These days, the group is again discussing stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and some people are shouting "it's about to depeg" just from a single chart... To be honest, my emotions can also get carried away, but when I calm down and think about it, what’s more likely to break me at the end of the year isn’t whether it depegs or not, but the chaos in transaction records.
Right now, I basically do this: every time I deposit, withdraw, or transfer on-chain, I first put the transaction hash and a screenshot into the same folder; for contract/spot trades, I export the details monthly and casually write a couple of notes in the spreadsheet—"what is this transaction," "where it came from."
Otherwise, if the accounts don’t match later, I won’t have any material to explain, and when tax questions come up, I can only say, "I don’t know either."
That’s how I’m doing it for now.
