FTX: Beware of phishing emails and counterfeit websites, the official will not ask you to connect your Wallet.

GateNews

PANews reported on October 4 that FTX tweeted to remind users to be cautious of phishing emails that appear to be from Kroll or the FTX Recovery Trust, as well as some websites that look like FTX customer portals. FTX emphasized that officials will not ask users to connect their Wallet. Some users have reported that the FTX fake compensation email mentions the need to generate an XPUB and requires downloading a tool that is very dangerous. In response, SlowMist's Yu Xian stated that this malicious tool appears to be cobbled together using AI, with a clear intent to steal mnemonic phrases, and apart from that, there are no other hazards.
