PANews, October 24 - The dispute between Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol Foundation may come to an end, as both parties are working to resolve misunderstandings through a protocol to avoid litigation. According to Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh, if Ocean Protocol returns the 286 million FET tokens sold during the merger, Fetch.ai will withdraw all legal claims and is willing to cover the related legal costs. Ocean Protocol has stated that if the proposal is formally submitted in writing, they will agree to return the tokens. Earlier reports indicated that blockchain data pointed to wallets related to Ocean Protocol having exchanged approximately 661 million Ocean Tokens for 286 million FET Tokens, with a total value at that time of about 120 million USD. Some of the tokens were transferred to Binance and GSR Markets. However, Ocean Protocol denied the relevant accusations and stated that its decision to exit the ASI alliance was unrelated to the token transfers. Ocean Protocol founder Bruce Pon stated that the decline in FET token prices was mainly influenced by market sentiment and the sell-off of SingularityNet and Fetch.ai, and had nothing to do with Ocean's departure from the ASI alliance. Both parties are currently seeking to resolve the dispute through a protocol to avoid further damage to their reputation and finances.
