It is understood that Inferno Drainer is a widely circulated scam toolkit among hackers, containing phishing website templates, wallet drainer programs, and social engineering tools. Once users visit the currently compromised PEPE official website, they are automatically redirected to a malicious site disguised as a legitimate trading or airdrop page, luring investors to connect their wallets, which can result in their assets being instantly drained.
However, there have not yet been reports of specific losses resulting from this attack. Security experts are urging all users: do not click on or visit the PEPE official website until an official announcement declares it safe, to avoid any risks.
In addition, PEPE coin itself does not appear to be affected by this attack at the moment, and its price has not shown significant fluctuations.
