A court in London has sentenced Jarett Dunn, a Canadian citizen and former employee of Pump.fun, to 6 years in prison for fraud related to abuse of position and transfer of illegal assets. The case occurred over a year ago when Dunn embezzled approximately 2 million USD Solana (SOL) from Pump.fun — a meme coin platform on Solana — then distributed the funds to thousands of random addresses.

Dunn later admitted to the behavior on social media and claimed to be a whistleblower, but this argument was not accepted by the court. The judge stated that Dunn’s public statements, including threats against Pump.fun, were fully considered during sentencing. Dunn remains detained in London and has not been deported to Canada as desired.
