BlockBeats News, December 19, According to The Block, Ethereum developers have named the next upgrade after Glamsterdam as “Hegota,” combining the execution layer Bogota upgrade and the consensus layer Heze upgrade. The Bogota upgrade continues the tradition of naming updates after the host city of Devcon, while Heze is named after a star. It is reported that the main EIP of Hegota will be finalized in February, and development work on Glamsterdam (Ethereum’s first planned upgrade in 2026) is still ongoing.
