Recently, KOL Miya revealed the identity of anonymous trader Eugene, indicating that traders in Singapore are aware that Eugene is actually Darryl Wang from Tangent Ventures. His concealment of being an investor and advocating for Ethena multiple times as Eugene seems to also violate Singaporean regulations.
Miya: Eugene is Tangent’s Darryl
Miya explicitly stated that the well-known trader 0xEnas is none other than Darryl Wang, co-founder of Tangent Venture. He accuses Darryl Wang of advocating for Ethena and other Tangent Venture investments multiple times under the identity of Eugene.
He also said that Eugene is seriously illegal under Singapore law, and that he is doing things on a similar level to SBF and Alameda Research, exploiting retail investors who trust Binance statistics. He says Eugene was born into a wealthy family, but his only concern was to lie to the poor and squeeze money out of them. He also said that the fact that Eugene is Darryl Wang is an open secret for Singaporean traders, but most people don’t know about it.
Finally, he also announced that he is willing to bet more than $1 million with Eugene/Darryl, as long as an independent law firm is willing to prove whether Eugene/Darryl is affiliated with Tangent Ventures.
Both of Tangent’s founders and companies have invested in Ethena
According to Rootdata, Tangent’s investments include well-known projects such as Ethena and Sahara. Tangent’s two co-founders are Darryl Wang and Jason Choi, and Ethena is a joint investment of Tangent, Darryl and Jason.
According to his Linkedin account, Darryl Wang graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science and previously worked at JPMorgan and another venture capital firm, DeFiance Capital.
