Following the release of the data, according to FedWatch indicators, the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates in January has fallen to 15.5%.
As a reminder, after the Fed's interest rate cut on December 10th, the probability of a January rate cut was at 50%, while after the relatively positive inflation data released on December 18th, this rate dropped to 30%.
