US President Donald Trump has launched a new global tariff campaign after the Supreme Court declared previous tariffs based on broad emergency powers illegal. Trump announced on Saturday that he was raising the temporary 10% global import tariff, announced on Friday, to 15%. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump stated that the new tariff, which he described as the "maximum legal limit," would take effect immediately, citing the fact that "many countries have exploited the US for decades."
