Lavrov said that U.S. intelligence agencies accused Russia of suspected assistance to Iran in determining the locations of U.S. military bases in the Middle East. He mentioned that Russia and Iran have indeed signed a military-technical cooperation agreement, and Russia has supplied certain categories of military-grade products to Iran, but denied the allegations of providing intelligence, calling it media “hype.” He pointed out that everyone knows the coordinates of U.S. military bases in the Middle East, so Iran’s attack on U.S. bases is not surprising.
