Sam Altman responds to OpenAI nationalization: "Establishing close cooperation between government and enterprise is extremely important"

Odaily Planet Daily reports that OpenAI founder Sam Altman posted a summary after the latest AMA. When asked how he would respond if the U.S. government attempted to nationalize OpenAI or other AI projects, Sam Altman said he could not predict the outcome. Although building AGI under government leadership might be more appropriate in the long term, based on current development trends, nationalization is unlikely. However, he emphasized that establishing close cooperation between the government and AI companies is “extremely important.” People are accustomed to security “guarantees,” but often underestimate the huge investments and efforts required behind the scenes. He believes this is generally a good thing, but more respect and understanding are still needed.
