Lithium battery boom reignited: clearing out excess and internal competition, supply and demand finally reverse

After three years of capacity clearing and adjustments in demand structure, the lithium battery industry is at the starting point of a new boom cycle. On the power battery side, the electrification of commercial vehicles and the increase in battery capacity per vehicle have opened up structural growth opportunities; on the energy storage side, the continuation of domestic electricity pricing policies and the explosion of demand from AIDC data centers have resulted in unexpected growth. On the supply side, capital expenditures in all segments have entered a downward channel, and the operating rates of key materials such as separators and lithium hexafluorophosphate have increased to over 80%, leading to a substantial reversal in supply and demand dynamics.
