ZachXBT criticizes Circle again: Accuses them of being "slow to respond" during the Drift hacking incident
BlockBeats message, April 2, on-chain investigator ZachXBT posted an accusation against Circle for failing to take timely action during the Drift attack incident, saying that during US trading hours, tens of millions of dollars worth of USDC was transferred from Solana to Ethereum via a cross-chain protocol, “continuing for several hours with no intervention.”
He also mentioned that the relevant funds have already been moved, while Circle “again took no action.” In addition, ZachXBT pointed out that Circle previously mistakenly froze more than 16 operational hot wallets, and they are still being gradually unfrozen. ZachXBT further called out Circle and its CEO, Jeremy Allaire, saying their actions have had a negative impact on the industry.
