The Madness and Rebirth of 100U
That day, there was only 100U left in my cryptocurrency wallet. Watching Bitcoin’s rapid volatile candlestick chart, I took a deep breath and decided to go all-in. I opened the contract trading interface, maxed out a hundredfold leverage, and went long at the critical support level. Fate seemed to favor me at this moment, and Bitcoin immediately surged. Watching my account balance wildly fluctuate like a billing statement, my heart pounded intensely.
In just three days, 100U turned into 3,000U. After tasting the sweetness, my confidence instantly in

No sugarcoating, no blackening: Six hidden worries on Argentina’s path to the title—A little money-god’s World Cup betting diary 🔥
Argentina reached the semifinals thanks to resilience, experience, and Messi’s divine guidance. But if you put this defending champion under a microscope, the cracks run much deeper than what the surface suggests. Below is a breakdown of the most real hidden risks on Argentina’s title run across six dimensions—not to badmouth, but to lay the problems out clearly.
1. Messi dependency syndrome: Betting a team’s fate on a 39-year-old
This is Argentina’s most core—and most dangerous—problem.
In this World Cup’s last four knockout matches and pivotal games, Argentina scored 11 goals in total, with Messi directly involved in 7—through both goals and assists. Against Cape Verde, the whole team had 27 shots; Messi was directly involved in 17, with 13 shots and 4 chances created—he was the only offensive engine. After receiving the ball, the first reaction is to look for Messi—this has become muscle memory for Argentina’s players.
The problem is: Messi is 39. After playing the full 120 minutes against Cape Verde, his running ability clearly declined in the second half of extra time; his sprint frequency dropped sharply. Data shows that over Messi’s last ten national team matches, after 67 minutes his running speed decreased by 23%, and his sprint counts fell by 81%. A core that needs the whole team to supply him and consumes enormous effort every match—during the tightly scheduled knockout stage when energy is stretched—can have a fitness bottleneck explode at any moment.
More lethal still: once the opponent locks Messi down with a double team—or even triple—Argentina’s attack nearly instantly collapses. In the group stage against Colombia, when Messi was absent, the team’s settled play produced 0 goals—this isn’t an accident; it’s an inevitable result of structural reliance. Lautaro’s offside judgment is off, and his handling in crucial moments is unstable; Alvarez’s form has stayed sluggish—he wasted at least three one-on-one chances in three knockout matches. Almada’s tactical execution is solid, but his individual ability isn’t enough to tear through the defense. With no second reliable scoring outlet, Argentina’s offensive tolerance is close to zero.
2. Aging backline: From an iron wall to a ticking bomb
The ominous backline from 2022 is now riddled with holes.
At 38, Otamendi is still the center-back core, but his turnaround speed and recovery ability are seriously lacking; when marking quick, pacey forwards, his off-position rate has surged by 40%, and his aerial duel success rate is only 68%. His partner Romero has had bright moments, but injury risks keep coming up, and his form fluctuates. Lima’s defensive actions are too excessive—he’s prone to picking up cards, even getting hurt—so depth in central defense is already running low.
The fullback positions are an even bigger problem area. Left back Tagliafico is 33; his sprinting ability has declined by 13%, and his form after returning has been uneven. On the right, Molina’s cross success rate dropped from 42% to 29%, and Montiel has already lost his starting spot at the club. Backup youngster Medina has impact, but lacks experience in big matches; Jair’s crossing accuracy is extremely low and his coordination is still unfamiliar. Once opponents target the flanks with pressure, Argentina’s backline can be breached.
The data is more direct: in two consecutive 3-2 knockout wins, Argentina conceded 4 goals in total against Cape Verde and Egypt. Cape Verde had a much lower ball possession rate all match, yet repeatedly shredded the defense with fast counterattacks. Egypt even left Argentina trailing 0-2 at one point, with their qualification probability at the lowest just 0.6%. The backline’s loss of focus—loosening up after taking the lead, and after challenges no one tracking back—cannot be accepted at World Cup level competition.
3. Flank paralysis: After Di María, no one can break the defense
After Di María retired, Argentina lost its most core wide breakthrough point. The loss is much bigger than outsiders imagine.
The current wide players available—Chiqui Simonni, Almada, and González—each have clear weaknesses. Chiqui Simonni has excellent physical attributes but lacks the ability to change direction to blow past a defender in a single point; it’s hard for him to explode as a one-man weapon. Almada is more oriented toward midfield organization; his depth sprinting from the flank is significantly behind Di María. González has been plagued by injuries and has failed to reach a 60% appearance rate for three consecutive seasons.
This directly compresses Argentina’s attacking options. When opponents set up dense defenses in the middle and the flanks (the “ribs”), Argentina lacks the explosive power to launch from the wings; they can only keep trying through-ball runs in the center and combinations in the ribs, but results are minimal. Cape Verde parked the bus with a 541 shape—so Argentina falls into a dead loop: “you can keep the ball lively inside the box, but the defense is too tight; the 45-degree shot has no height target.” Against teams like England, with wide threats such as Saka and Gordon, Argentina’s flank defense will face even greater pressure.
4. Fitness crisis: The veterans’ fuel tanks are nearly empty
Argentina’s starting lineup has an average age of 29.1, one of the oldest squads at this World Cup. Core players: Otamendi is 38, Messi 39, Tagliafico 33, and De Paul’s running distance is down by 2 kilometers compared to four years ago.
The fitness issue gets infinitely magnified in the knockout stage. After playing the full 120 minutes against Cape Verde, during the subsequent match vs Egypt, several key players were clearly not at the right level in the first 15 minutes—this isn’t an attitude problem; the body is sounding alarms. After the second-half energy dropped off a cliff, their running became slower, transitions broke down, and sprints lacked power. After taking the lead, they were forced to cherish it too much—dragging the game—only to repeatedly give the opponent chances to surge at them.
What’s even more troublesome: Argentina’s bench depth is insufficient to make effective substitutions when fitness declines. In Cape Verde’s extra time, substitutions and adjustments achieved nothing. After the starters’ running ability dropped in regular time, the bench couldn’t find anyone who could change the course of the match. If the semifinal goes to extra time again, Argentina’s fitness reserves would be a huge question mark.
5. Midfield imbalance: The double-core is wasted, and a defensive midfielder becomes a soft spot
Argentina’s midfield problem isn’t that there’s nobody—it’s that their positioning is confused.
McAllister is tasked as a deeper-lying defensive midfielder, but his height and physique are limited; he can’t handle high-intensity physical duels, so opponents’ high press can easily penetrate the midfield. In the transition from defense to attack, the passing influence zone is too small—easy to be dispossessed and then counterattacked. Enzo and McAllister are too far from the attacking zones, so their impact in shots and assists is greatly reduced. Analyst Diego Latorre bluntly said that these two standout midfielders “feel like they’re being wasted.”
Compared with the 2022 title-winning midfield—smooth connections and strong control—today’s midfield operations are clearly one level worse. De Paul’s running coverage is still astonishing, but he’s doing more to patch the backline than to create attacks. When the team needs a deadly blow launched from the midfield, they lack someone who can receive near the edge of the box, turn, and deliver a threatening ball.
6. Mindset and tempo management: When you lead, you relax—an absolute taboo in knockout matches
After the match, Messi himself admitted: “The team couldn’t apply pressure in the required way; the distance between the lines was too big, and coordination was lacking.”
Argentina kept repeating a pattern in this tournament: once they went ahead, they deliberately shrank their shape, slowed the tempo, and let attention slip. Against Cape Verde, they led twice and were leveled twice—the issue was that after scoring, the defense immediately lost focus, and they weren’t ready for rapid counterattacks. Feng Xiaoting’s comment hit the nail on the head: after leading, the mindset relaxes; when the opponent suddenly launches a high-intensity surge, the backline reacts too slowly.
This style might still pass in the group stage, but in the semifinal against England—a team with a young core like Bellingham who can explode at any moment—if Argentina relaxes after going ahead, and England gets a 15-minute comeback window, the consequences would be unimaginable.

699 spiked to 2,155 yuan—another “wealth-management merchandise” World Cup hit
Norway jerseys sold out like crazy! During the 2026 World Cup in the America-Canada-Mexico region, the price of the Norway national team’s jerseys surged from 699 yuan to 2,155 yuan. 699 to 2155 yuan: Another World Cup “investment-style” merchandise craze
Norwegian jerseys are selling like crazy! During the 2026 USA/Canada/Mexico World Cup, the prices of Norway national team jerseys have surged, jumping from 699 to 2,155 yuan. This “investment-style” merchandise boom is mainly driven by the massive popularity of star player Haaland and Norway’s historic run to the quarterfinals.
Key price increase data
‌Home fan version jersey‌: original price 699 yuan, with the highest average transaction price reaching 2,155 yuan on the Duyu App, a rise of about 208.3%.
‌Home player version jersey‌: original price 1,099 yuan, with the highest average transaction price reaching 2,965 yuan, a rise of about 169.8%.
‌Away jersey‌: original price 699 yuan, with the average transaction price rising to 1,668 yuan, a rise of over 138.6%.
The rush phenomenon
‌Out of stock across the entire web‌: the brand official website, online mini programs, offline physical stores, and official flagship stores are all sold out, leaving domestic consumers “unable to find a jersey.”
‌Crazy lineups‌: at the Norway-based Torshov Sport store in Oslo, when new stock arrived, the queue stretched for about 600 meters, with fans bringing their own folding chairs and waiting for up to 12 hours.
‌Sales surge‌: this year, the retailer’s jersey order volume reached about 250k units, up 400% from the same period last year (50k units), setting a record high.
Reasons behind the craze
‌The Haaland effect‌: as a core driving force, Haaland’s “endorsement power” not only sparked the jersey buying rush, but the price of the same-style headband also jumped from 84 yuan to 501 yuan.
‌Breakthrough performance‌: after 28 years, Norway returned to the World Cup and reached the quarterfinals, setting a best-ever record for the team and greatly increasing attention on the squad.
‌Speculation fueled by scarcity‌: what used to be a niche accessory with no interest became a fashion item that is “hard to get even with money,” further pushing up the secondary-market premium.

#沃什听证会撞上CPI More than a month after Kevin Warsh took office as Chair of the Federal Reserve, and following one FOMC policy meeting decision and two public appearances, investors are still guessing whether the new chairman’s policy stance is more dovish or hawkish. Next week, he will attend the semiannual hearings of the House of Representatives and the Senate on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, giving the market another window to observe his policy thinking. Notably, 90 minutes before the start of the Tuesday hearing, the latest CPI data will be officially released, leaving Warsh with almost no way to avoid questions about the trajectory of U.S. inflation—boosting attention on this hearing substantially.
For the U.S. dollar, the biggest risk scenario is CPI coming in hotter than expected, but Warsh is still repeating in Congress the recent message that “inflation risks have eased somewhat.” Conversely, if asked related questions, Warsh has not ruled out the possibility of a rate hike in July, which would allow the dollar to continue the upward trend seen after the FOMC meeting.
At present, against the backdrop of Warsh-led policy adjustments and the market’s ongoing revision of rate-pricing logic, the direction of U.S. monetary policy has become the biggest downside variable for the gold market.
Since taking charge of the Federal Reserve, Warsh has consistently put price stability at the top of his policy agenda. The market has already priced in at least one rate hike this year, with the earliest timing in September. Analysts also note, however, that international oil prices have fallen sharply from their highs during the period of the Iran-U.S. conflict, and inflation pressure has eased at the margin, leaving room for Warsh’s hawkish remarks in the hearings to soften.
Robert Minter, investment strategy director at Aberdeen Standard Investments, said in an interview with Kitco News that the market is over-amplifying Warsh’s hawkish comments while overlooking the structural logic that supports gold over the long term. Many institutional clients he advises do not believe the Fed will implement tightening actions.
Minter said: “Institutional investment advisors do not agree with current market pricing. They do not think Warsh will stay tough, nor do they like the likelihood of rate hikes landing this year. Setting inflation aside, ahead of the election the Fed basically will not roll out tightening measures—this is a fixed policy tendency that is not affected by leadership changes.” He believes that at this stage, Warsh is mainly issuing hawkish signals to build policy credibility, rather than preparing a large-scale rate-hike cycle. Even if near-term gold price volatility increases, institutional clients still recognize the medium- to long-term allocation value of gold today.
Other central banks: almost a sure thing!
The Bank of Canada is expected to keep rates unchanged
At 21:45 on Wednesday, the Bank of Canada will release its rate decision and the Monetary Policy Report; at 22:30 on Wednesday, Governor Tiff Macklem and Senior Deputy Governor Rogers will hold a monetary policy news conference. The Bank of Canada will announce its rate decision on Wednesday. The market expects it to keep rates unchanged, with Governor Macklem continuing to worry about weak economic conditions. Although the jobs market has improved slightly and overall inflation has risen, economic growth remains weak, core CPI is stable, and with gains offsetting the post-conflict oil price pullback, upward inflation pressure has eased, so the central bank has no need to tighten quickly.
Macklem has repeatedly played down inflation risks, and the market is only pricing a 50% probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike by year-end.
In a report, ING analyst Francesco Pesole said the Bank of Canada is unlikely to bring any surprises, and the threshold to shift to a hawkish stance is high. Unless oil prices rebound to the level seen in April to May, the inflation outlook remains moderate, especially considering the downside risks to jobs and economic activity from uncertainty related to the (U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement). The policy cycles of the Fed and the Bank of Canada have diverged significantly, driving the Canadian dollar to fall to a 15-month low versus the U.S. dollar.

#LAB两日腰斩53% LAB token crash analysis
Market overview
LAB token has recently suffered a catastrophic plunge: the price fell by 35% in two days, the market cap shrank from several billions of dollars to approximately $155 million, with the overall drop exceeding 96%.
Crash cause analysis
1、Team/insider selling (main reason) According to on-chain analyst ZachXBT’s investigation:
Insiders control more than 95% of the circulating supply, raising serious concerns of market manipulation.
Team-related wallets received 196 million+ LAB tokens in April 2026.
Within the past 48 hours, an address funded by the team deposited 18.4 million LAB to Aster DEX (about $18.3 million) and sold aggressively.
The entity still holds 81.5 million LAB, and continued selling pressure remains.
On August 14, approximately 282 million locked tokens will be released
2、Token unlock pressure.
On August 14, approximately 282 million locked tokens will be unlocked.
Investors worry about a large-scale sell-off after the unlock and exit early.
3、Liquidity crisis
Trading volume briefly reached $367 million (close to the total market cap), indicating that large amounts of tokens were fleeing.
After liquidity dries up, even a small number of sell orders can cause sharp price volatility
Current risk warning
⚠️ High-risk warning:
Insider holdings are highly concentrated, making the price easy to manipulate
Large remaining holdings (81.5 million LAB) may continue to be sold at any time
The August unlock event will further increase sell-side supply pressure
Market confidence has been severely damaged, and liquidity is unlikely to recover
Technical observations
Key support zone: $0.44-$0.55
If it breaks below this range, it may continue to probe lower. As high volatility persists, short-term trading risk is extremely high$LAB

#伊朗宣布关闭霍尔木兹海峡 The Iran-U.S. attacks enter a third round, with the Strait of Hormuz closing again
According to Xinhua News Agency, in the early hours of the 12th, the naval branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that the Strait of Hormuz would be closed effective immediately, and that no vessels may pass through. The statement said that a few hours earlier, several ships attempted to sail along routes not approved by Iran, disregarding Iran’s prompts and warnings to adjust course. One vessel had its automatic identification system shut off, was hit by Iran with warning shots, and halted its voyage.
The U.S. Central Command later announced that the U.S. military had launched the third round of strikes against Iran this week. “The United States is imposing a heavy price on Iran by continuously weakening Iran’s ability to allow civilians and merchant ships to freely transit the Strait of Hormuz.”
The U.S. Central Command said the latest attack targeted about 140 military sites, including Iran’s missile and drone bases, naval facilities, ammunition depots, communications networks, and coastal surveillance points. Reports said explosions occurred at Iran’s port cities of Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Chabahar, Der, and Assaluyeh.
Iran then launched a counterattack against U.S. military targets located in Arab Gulf countries. According to Iran’s state radio and television, Iran’s military said it carried out multiple rounds of drone attacks on U.S. military targets in Kuwait and Bahrain, while also using multiple ballistic missiles to strike U.S. military facilities at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan and the Udaid Air Base in Qatar.
Thomas Warrick, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for counterterrorism policy, said that although mediation efforts continue among the parties, the latest round of clashes could last for some time. Warrick noted that the disagreement between Iran and the U.S. over how to interpret the memorandum of understanding is not a language issue, but rather that neither side has reached any “real consensus” in recent talks.
Iran’s decision to close the Strait of Hormuz came after a series of intense clashes between Iran and the U.S. over the strait. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the Strait of Hormuz would be “closed indefinitely” until “the U.S. stops interference in the region.” The statement also warned that any acts of aggression against Iran “will be met with a harsh response, and any new hostile bases in the region will become targets for strikes.”
So far, neither the Trump administration’s threats nor the bombardments carried out by the U.S. military have been able to force Iran to loosen its control over the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier this week, Iran attacked three ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, after which the U.S. military launched strikes against Iran, and Iran responded by attacking U.S. military targets located in Arab Gulf countries.
As the latest round of conflict broke out, Iran and Oman are working to discuss the future direction of the Strait of Hormuz. According to a statement issued by Iran, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian al-Aragchi met in Oman with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Bu Saeidi, exchanging views on “ensuring appropriate mechanisms for the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.” Oman’s state news agency later said that Oman and Iran’s negotiating representatives would continue talks on “technical and political levels” to reach the necessary agreements under international law.
Citing a report by U.S. cable news network CNN on the 11th, Oman has submitted a draft proposal on the strait issue. The draft includes allowing ships free navigation through the southern corridor within Oman’s territorial waters. The report said the proposal requires ships to obtain Iran’s prior approval when transiting the northern corridor within Iran’s territorial waters, but no transit fees would be charged.

40000U “Friendly matches are hard to play”—Haaland speaks after the match
“Friendly matches are hard to play”—Haaland has firsthand experience with it.
A World Cup quarterfinal that ended early on July 12 Beijing time saw Norway lose 1-2 to England in extra time. In this match, among the four players in England’s back line, three were teammates of Haaland at his Premier League club, Manchester City—people who know each other well. At this World Cup, Haaland has scored 7 goals, but under the tight defensive coverage from his club teammates, he didn’t get many chances to show himself, recording a first match with no goals. After the game, Haaland calmly accepted the defeat. He said the team’s performance exceeded everyone’s expectations, and reaching the quarterfinals was a great reward. With 6 goals, Bellingham has joined the race for the Golden Boot. Compared with England, which had 17 appearances, Norway has had fewer opportunities to feature at the World Cup; it’s only their fourth time qualifying, and the two teams have never met at the World Cup.
In terms of overall strength and experience, England holds the advantage—they led with 7 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses in 12 head-to-head international A matches between the two. Although it’s been 28 years since they last returned to the World Cup, Norway led by Haaland has impressed many. In the Round of 16, Norway eliminated the five-star Brazil side and advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time, which also gave outside observers more expectations for this Nordic team. Ahead of the match, England’s head coach Tuchel said Norway’s tactical system is mature, with many players in the squad playing in the Premier League, so they are very familiar with England players’ technical habits and England must not underestimate the opponent’s attacking pressure. In Norway’s starting XI today, more than half of the players are from the Premier League. Throughout the first half, England’s possession rate reached 68%, but the team to score first was Norway. In the 36th minute, “a magical goal” by Sherdrup opened the deadlock for Norway. With Kane, the team’s first-choice scorer, being limited, Bellingham stepped up—he scored an equalizer in stoppage time in the first half. Just as extra time began, it was again Bellingham’s follow-up shot that helped England secure a 2-1 win and lock in the result. In the last two knockout matches, Bellingham scored 4 goals and became the first driving force behind England’s advancement to the semifinals.
“No more needs to be said—every match, he can stand up and change it.” Tuchel called Bellingham a world-class midfielder, and said those two goals are worth their weight in gold. At this World Cup, Bellingham has scored 6 goals, adding him to the Golden Boot race. In the post-match review, Tuchel was satisfied with both the match result and the players’ willpower, but he felt the process wasn’t ideal: “We were lucky today. If we want to go further, we still have to do it better. To challenge for the title, you can’t rely only on willpower.” In the semifinals, England will face the winner between Argentina and Switzerland. After accepting the defeat, Haaland was pleased with the way the team made history at this World Cup. Mbappé and Messi are tied at the top of the scoring chart with 8 goals each, with Haaland one behind on 7; Kane is in fourth with 6. All four have a chance to compete for the Golden Boot. This match was also a direct face-off between Haaland and Kane, the two main Golden Boot contenders. At the pre-match press conference, when asked who was better, Kane said they play the same position but are different types of players: “Haaland and I are completely different types of center forwards. He focuses on attacking the box to score; I prefer to drop back to receive the ball and take part in organizing and linking up the whole team.”
Norway’s head coach Solbakken also touched on this, saying the competition between Haaland and Kane was unavoidable. As the teams’ main scoring threats, both players would become key targets for restrictions. As Solbakken put it, both were tightly marked in this match. In the entire first half, Haaland had only one header attempt. Kane was the same—he only received Bellingham’s pass and scored in stoppage time, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Throughout the match, Haaland had only 21 touches, the lowest number among all players at this World Cup. In Norway’s tactical setup, much of the attack was built around Haaland. In the previous four matches, Haaland scored 7 goals, but in this one he went blank. In the second half of extra time, a low-on-stamina Haaland was substituted, ending his first World Cup journey. “Reaching the quarterfinals is beyond everyone’s expectations, and we can accept the defeat calmly.”
Summing up his World Cup journey, Haaland said his 7 goals are just numbers; more precious is that he helped Norway create history. Like Haaland, Kane was also limited throughout the match, doing more of the supporting and build-up. “I’m not just a finisher—dropping back to support and pulling the defense around is also my responsibility.” After Haaland was eliminated, Kane led England to keep going, and he also has an opportunity to keep chasing Mbappé and Messi on the scoring chart. Knowing each other so well, this kind of “friendly match” is hard to play—England vs Norway is a real, no-exaggeration “friendly match.” It can be said that the people most familiar with Norway in the world are England. Whether it’s captain Ødegaard or Haaland, the opponents they face today are a group of teammates from their Premier League clubs, and they know each other extremely well. Haaland plays for Manchester City in the Premier League, and his club teammates Stones, Guey, O’Reilly, and Trafford form England’s entire back line. In this match, among England’s four defenders, three are from Manchester City—also Haaland’s club teammates. Having trained together for a long time, they know Haaland’s runs and shooting habits inside out. Throughout the match, Guey and Stones stayed within a step of Haaland, guarding him closely. After the match, Haaland admitted that these two players train against his matchup every week and know clearly his running patterns and aerial-duel habits, making it difficult for him to get comfortable attacking opportunities during the game.
In addition, Haaland and Bellingham are also teammates from their days at Dortmund. Before the match, in the player tunnel, Bellingham even gently kicked Haaland. The atmosphere between the two sides was also relaxed. In the first half, the two staged a fun moment: during one free-kick defensive sequence, they lightly pulled and shoved each other around, and after looking at each other, they both laughed. Another person facing a similar situation was Norway captain Ødegaard, who plays in the Premier League for Arsenal; today he directly faced his club teammates Rice, Saka, Madueke, Eze, and others. Ahead of the match, Ødegaard also said he knows most England players very well, and that it will be a major test. Even though he was limited, Ødegaard still helped Sherdrup score with a “scalpel-like” pass—his fourth assist at this World Cup. Though it’s a “friendly match,” the game itself flowed smoothly and wasn’t dull, and both teams played relatively amicably. The only yellow card of the entire match came in the final stage of extra time—Norway’s Ejaine showed dissatisfaction with the referee’s decisions and received a yellow card.

#美伊战争阴云再起 Iran announces closure of the Strait of Hormuz
Citing Iranian media, on the 12th Xinhua News Agency reported that the Navy of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that a vessel attempting to sail along an unauthorized route through the Strait of Hormuz was warned by gunfire and intercepted.
In light of this incident, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed until further notice, and until the United States stops interfering in the region.
Also, according to CCTV News, on the 11th local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Alaragchi led a delegation to visit Muscat, the capital of Oman, and held talks with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr. Oman and Iranian officials discussed a “mechanism for safe passage for ships,” and emphasized Oman’s position of “preventing escalation of regional tensions through diplomacy.”
The report said that, according to a source familiar with the negotiations, Oman has drafted a plan to manage the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz by using two sea lanes that are administered separately. Under this agreement, which has not yet been finalized, both sea lanes will remain open.
Of the two, the southern sea lane passing through Oman’s territorial waters will allow free passage under pre-war conditions. For vessels transiting via the northern sea lane through Iran’s territorial waters, prior approval from Iran will be required, but under this agreement no transit fees will be charged.
In addition, a source in the diplomatic community said that Qatar officials also participated in the relevant consultations held in Muscat that day. Meanwhile, regional sources said that the parties attending were discussing issuing a statement that may involve fully opening the “central lane” of the Strait of Hormuz located in international waters, to ensure that vessels can pass comprehensively and freely.
The sources disclosed that the information above has not yet been confirmed at the official level by Oman, Iran, or Qatar.

With the remnants facing the enemy, Belgium may be defeated yet still honored; as a veteran’s curtain falls, can Spain carry the torch?
On July 11, 2026 Canada–Mexico–United States World Cup quarterfinals delivered a marquee matchup. Spain, thanks to substitute hero Merino’s stoppage-time winner, overturned Belgium 2-1 to advance to the World Cup semifinals—marking Spain’s first appearance in a World Cup semifinal in 16 years. In the semifinals, they will face the formidable France national team.

In a battle against the odds, Belgium’s defeat is still honorable; as the veteran bows out, can Spain carry the torch?
On July 11, 2026 USA–Canada–Mexico World Cup quarterfinals featured a highly anticipated matchup. Spain, relying on substitute hero Merino, scored the winner to defeat Belgium 2-1 after a comeback, securing a spot in the semifinals. This is Spain’s first return to the World Cup semifinals in 16 years. In the semifinal, they will face the powerhouse France.
Spain’s path to qualification in this World Cup has been full of ups and downs. In the group stage opener, the team unexpectedly drew with debutants Cape Verde, causing a surprise upset. After that, the squad quickly found its rhythm, delivering successive big wins over Saudi Arabia and a narrow win over Uruguay, advancing smoothly as group leaders.
In the knockout rounds, Spain’s form was scorching. They kept clean sheets against Austria and then delivered a dramatic winner against Portugal, steadily marching into the quarterfinals.
By contrast, Belgium’s group-stage performance was mediocre. They drew their first two matches against Egypt and Iran, and only in the final round did they steady their hold on first place with a 5-1 rout of New Zealand. In the knockout stage, Belgium showed stubborn resilience. In the Round of 32, they produced a stunning extra-time comeback to beat Senegal 3-2. In the Round of 16, they cruised past the United States 4-1 to reach the quarterfinals. In terms of head-to-head history, Spain holds a clear advantage over Belgium, with 7 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses in their last 12 meetings.
In this match, Belgium were hit by serious injuries. Key midfielders Tielemans and Onana both missed the game, damaging both their attacking and defensive structure.
At 35, veteran De Bruyne returned to the starting lineup to anchor the midfield, while the 33-year-old Lukaku continued to wait as a substitute. Belgium could only face the strong opponent with a depleted lineup.
Thrilling plot! Courtois’ injury turns the tide
The first half had a tight tempo, with extremely quick transitions between attack and defense.
In the 30th minute, Spain broke the deadlock first. Olmo’s shot was superbly saved by Belgium goalkeeper Courtois. Fabian Ruiz was alert and followed up with a close-range finish to give Spain a 1-0 lead.
However, Belgium responded quickly. In the 41st minute, Deketelaere met Castane’s precise cross with a header, finding the net to level the score 1-1. This goal also ended Spain’s long streak of unbeaten clean sheets—ending goalkeeper Simón’s World Cup record of 650 minutes without conceding. With recent consistent performances, Deketelaere scored 3 goals in his last two knockout matches, matching Lukaku and taking the top spot on Belgium’s World Cup knockout-stage scoring chart together.
In the second half, both teams became locked in a fierce tug-of-war, and physical intensity kept rising. In the 61st minute, a suspected handball in Rodri’s penalty area led Belgium players to collectively protest, but the referee issued no decision, and the score remained unchanged.
In the 69th minute, the match reached another crucial turning point. Belgium’s key goalkeeper Courtois, who had repeatedly produced impressive saves, was unexpectedly injured and could not continue. Manchester United goalkeeper Rasmus replaced him, and Belgium’s defensive strength in front of goal suffered a major blow.
After that, Spain kept pressing. Lamine Yamal kept getting chances, but in the 82nd minute his forced shot was blocked, and in the 83rd minute he missed a one-on-one opportunity—repeatedly failing to change the scoreline.
Miracle in 100 seconds! Merino strikes again to reset records
In the 86th minute, Spain made a substitution: Merino came on for Olmo. This change became the match-winning prelude. After appearing for only 117 seconds, Merino created a classic moment. In the 88th minute, KUBASI fired a long-range effort from the edge of the big box. Substitute goalkeeper Rasmus spilled the save, and Merino was sharp with a follow-up finish to score the winner—helping Spain complete the comeback and take a 2-1 lead.
This goal was packed with value. It not only secured victory and pushed Spain into the semifinals, but also refreshed football records. Merino’s 117-second substitute winner broke the record set by Soria in 1982—159 seconds for the fastest World Cup substitute goal by a Spanish player. The 42-year-old history was finally laid to rest.
Even more noteworthy, Merino achieved the feat of scoring winning goals in consecutive World Cup knockout matches.
In the previous round versus Portugal, he came on as a substitute in the 90th minute and scored the only goal of the match to help the team advance. In this game, he again came off the bench to deliver the winner. Two key wins locked Spain into the semifinals—making him the biggest contributor to their progress.
The curtain falls on youth! Belgium’s golden generation officially bids farewell to the World Cup stage
After this defeat, Belgium’s run ended in the quarterfinals. It also officially marked the end of Belgium’s golden generation—centered on De Bruyne, Lukaku, Courtois, and Witsel—which has now completely said goodbye to the World Cup stage. The peak era of the European “Red Devils” has come to an end.
Belgium’s golden generation rose strongly starting in 2014. At the time, top stars like Hazard, Kompany, Fellaini, and Vertonghen all joined the national team, forming a lineup full of stardom. The team had long held the top spot on the FIFA World Rankings. The 2018 Russia World Cup was their all-time peak: Belgium knocked out Brazil and reached the final four, ultimately winning third place and recording the best World Cup finish in their history—at one point widely viewed as a favorite to lift the title.
But this legendary team never managed to reach the summit. They repeatedly fell short: in the 2020 European Championship, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals; in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, internal conflicts saw them go out early in the group stage. With Hazard retiring, legends like Kompany, Fellaini, and Vertonghen also stepped away and faded from the national team. The former star-studded lineup eventually fell apart.
In this USA–Canada–Mexico World Cup, only four aging stalwarts remain to fight on: De Bruyne, Lukaku, Courtois, and Witsel. Now, with injuries to key players and the team’s elimination, the golden generation has truly come to an end. Although younger players like Deketelaere and Doku continue to develop, the gap in big-tournament experience and individual raw quality compared to their predecessors is clear. In the short term, Belgium will struggle to recreate the top-level competitiveness of the European Red Devils, and they are set to bid farewell to the world’s top contenders.
On July 10, Spain players celebrate a goal during the match. Xinhua News Agency
Spain, returning to the World Cup semifinals for the first time in 16 years, carries forward the team’s depth in big matches. Notably, the last time Spain reached the World Cup semifinals, they ultimately went on to win the title. Now, with a young squad boasting strong resilience and substitute heroes producing standout performances, they will face France in the semifinals and push toward the final stage.

Early News from the Little God of Fortune World Cup—Belgium’s “Golden Generation” bids farewell; Courtois injured and replaced; Lukaku unable to find the net again
On the morning of July 11, in the second quarterfinal (1/4) match of the World Cup final tournament among the USA, Canada, and Mexico, Belgium lost 1-2 to Spain and were eliminated in the Round of 8. The team’s “Golden Generation” also said goodbye to this World Cup.
Among them, the 34-year-old goalkeeper Courtois was substituted off in the 71st minute due to an adductor muscle injury. On the touchline, he covered his face and cried, wiping away tears with his gloved hand. This was Courtois’s 21st World Cup match, a figure that surpassed Lloris’s 20 matches; in the goalkeeper position, it ranks only behind Neuer.
In this match, the veteran goalkeeper still produced multiple brilliant saves, but his injury exit became the turning point. In the 88th minute, Belgium’s setback occurred because substitute goalkeeper Mignolet spilled a save, giving the opponent the chance. They scored with a follow-up to seal the game. After Spain scored, the live broadcast camera panned to Courtois on the sidelines, who also looked helpless.
Helplessness was shared by the 33-year-old striker Lukaku. In the past 3 matches, he had all come off the bench to make contributions—truly “bright when he steps on the pitch.” In this match, in the 60th minute, Lukaku again came off the bench, but he failed to break the opponent’s goal again. As of now, Lukaku has made 131 appearances for Belgium across all competitions and scored 93 goals.
In addition, 35-year-old De Bruyne started. Even when he cramped in the second half, he still kept playing until the 85th minute, when he could no longer continue and was substituted off. The 37-year-old Witsel was brought on in the 60th minute instead. With the team trailing 1-2 in stoppage time, he also got a yellow card for going all out in a desperate challenge. Unfortunately, the veterans’ fighting spirit couldn’t deliver a win. The “Golden Generation,” which had long helped Belgium occupy the FIFA world No. 1 ranking, ended yet another World Cup journey, continuing the long-standing regret of going without a title at major tournaments.

#广场预测世界杯赢40000U The “Europe Red Devils” end in the Round of 8, and the Golden Generation’s curtain falls with lingering regret! The 2018 World Cup third place becomes the best
On July 11, in the 1/4-final of the Belgium–Canada–Mexico World Cup, Belgium lost to Spain. Their run in this World Cup ended in the Round of 8. Spain defeated Belgium 2-1 to advance to the semifinals, with Merino scoring a decisive goal again and again! La’mens—coming on as a substitute—failed to hold onto the ball and basically handed over a gift. Belgium’s “Golden Generation” players are also gradually preparing to bring their national team careers to a close.
Belgium men’s “Golden Generation”
They had long been ranked No. 1 in the international football federation (FIFA) world rankings, but they were always left regretting that they never managed to lay their hands on the championship trophy at a major tournament.
Looking back at Belgium’s Golden Generation, their best historical record at major tournaments was finishing third at the 2018 Russia World Cup. Back then, the team overcame Japan and Brazil in succession, ultimately taking third place and setting the best achievement in the team’s history. In other World Cups, they were eliminated in the Round of 8 at the 2014 Brazil World Cup, and at the 2022 Qatar World Cup they suffered an upset and exited in the group stage—until this 2026 Belgium–Canada–Mexico World Cup when they once again ended in the Round of 8.
On the European Championship stage, this star-studded side also showed a very high baseline but lacked dominance. They were eliminated at the quarterfinals (Round of 8) at both the 2016 France European Championship and the 2021 European Championship, and at the 2024 Germany European Championship they were eliminated in the Round of 16 (16 teams). In the current Belgium squad, De Bruyne is already 35; Mertens and Courtois are both 34; Lukaku is 33. The 31-year-old Trossard can hardly be called young anymore, and the 37-year-old Witsel has already stepped into the ranks of veterans. People like Vertonghen and Alderweireld have faded out of the national team and the football scene early.
But at the same time, in today’s Belgium team there are still players like the 29-year-old captain Tielemans, the 25-year-old De Ketelaere, the 24-year-old Doku, La’mens, Amadou Onana, De Wint, and others. Perhaps they will take up the mantle of Belgium’s “Golden Generation” and continue Belgium’s unfinished journey.
