you could say “slavery is bad” on here and have 100s of replies explaining why it’s actually a good thing and why hating slavery somehow means you think murder is good

I can't help but feel almost all economic growth and earning beats right now is almost entirely from inflation alone with no actual growth
are people buying more? or are things just more expensive?
are companies earning more revenue? or are they just charging customers more while doing accounting tricks to delay pricing in recent inflation into costs?
markets can stay irrational and the FED can hyperinflate the dollar so it's not a market top call, but I'm pretty sure there's little no growth outside of stock/asset prices which is just a result of governments debasing currencies to make it see

If one upsets you and the other doesn't, then you have a problem.

from what I see, over the past 3 months the S&P500 is being dragged up by AI and semiconductor stocks due to speculative demand for these products while the rest of the market stagnates and crashes due to lack of demand and consumer spending because people can no longer afford things
but we are expected to believe that the people who have no money for iPhones and groceries will spend money on... AI subscriptions and GPUs?
I don't know, it isn't adding up imo
