The President announced on Truth Social on Friday that at least $2,000 per person will be paid to everyone except high-income individuals, funded by tariff revenues. With broad coverage, the program is estimated to total $300-500 billion.

For comparison: the first round of COVID payments in 2020 (CARES Act) totaled $270 billion, and cumulatively across three rounds, more than $800 billion was distributed.

If the new program is implemented and some recipients direct funds into crypto assets, this could strengthen retail demand for BTC, a similar effect was observed during previous stimulus rounds.

Retail could become a new growth catalyst for the first cryptocurrency.
